Stephanie Bennett, CPDT-KSA, grew up in a big Texas family where the dogs always outnumbered the people. After spending several years as a teacher in Los Angeles, Stephanie decided to combine her talent for teaching and her passion for dogs. She returned to Austin, Texas and attended the prestigious Triple Crown Dog Academy, the world’s leading educational center for professional dog trainers, and became a Certified Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist. While studying at Triple Crown, Stephanie has the pleasure of meeting the great Dr. Ian Dunbar, who became and continues to be her mentor.
Back in Los Angeles, Stephanie was the Director of Training at the world renowned L.A. Dogworks, considered LA’s premiere dog daycare, boarding and training center. Stephanie then relocated to Houston in 2008 and started her business, Get Along Little Doggie, specializing in private, in-home, customized pet dog training. As the business grew, she recognized a common immense need in her busy clients. They needed a structured, safe place to give their dogs more opportunities to learn, socialize, and play. Thus, Peace Love & Dogs was born.
As a result of her comprehensive education and hands-on experience, Stephanie has expertise not only in dog training, but also a wide variety of solutions to dog behavior problems. Because each dog is unique and responds differently to certain techniques, Stephanie works with her clients to create a custom training program addressing the individual dog’s needs while meeting the goals of their human companions.
With a decade of experience, she has literally helped thousands of dog owners develop better relationships with their pets. Stephanie has had the pleasure of working with celebrities such as Forest Whitaker, Craig Ferguson, and Vivian Kubrick, and she also served as the associate producer and on-set consultant of Bobcat Goldthwait’s Sundance Film Festival hit, “Sleeping Dogs Lie”. In Houston, Stephanie has appeared on “The Little Couple,” Nickelodeon’s “NFL Rush” (with Houston Texans player, Duane Brown), and “Deals”. She also regularly contributes her expertise to local news segments, Great Day Houston, and Houston Pet Talk magazine.
Anna Foster holds a B.A. in Business and a B.A. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University. She spent several years in the corporate world before deciding to follow her heart to persue her dream and turn her passion for dogs into a career. Trained and certified by Houston’s Jim Burwell in his Professional Dog Trainer Program, she has become a full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and remains passionate about advancing and continuing her education.
Most of all, Anna LOVES dogs and is dedicated to her clients. She uses her knowledge, experience, and compassion to help the whole pack, human and canine, identify what they all can do to create a healthy, happy relationship. Her personal touch and dedication is what sets her apart from the rest.
Anna began working along side Stephanie in August 2010 not long after the two met. A fast friendship formed as they realized they shared a dream and an immense love of dogs. Their combined passion as well as training knowledge was the inspiration that lead to the creation of Peace, Love, and Dogs.
