Private Training

Our positive, science based training methods, which emphasize consistency, patience, and effective communication, are geared toward exercises that are practical in every day life. We will teach you how to train your dog. After each lesson, you will be equipped with the tools you need to communicate more effectively with your dog. It’s never too early or too late to get started.

Our customized, private lessons are created specifically for you, your dog, and your situation.
Private training packages are perfect for busy clients that prefer the convenience of flexible scheduling or having lessons in the comfort of their home. Moreover, some cases are more effectively and appropriately addressed in private lessons rather than in a group class. If you can’t fit a group class into your schedule or have a dog behavior problem that needs one-on-one attention, private lessons can help prevent and resolve issues and help you help your dog become a mannerly, compliant companion.

At the beginning of every training program, you will be provided with a password granting you access to our Training Handouts and Homework page that you may reference after your lessons and as your training advances. The Training Handout and Homework page includes: reviews of lessons, tips for general use, maintenance, homework suggestions, and all sorts of useful information.

Remember, it takes time to teach your dog to perform reliably and correctly. Dogs need three to six months of repetition and reinforcement to commit a behavior to long-term memory. This means that it is of utmost importance that you continue to work with your dog after the lessons are over if you want the training to stick. Please keep in mind that all training and behavior modification solutions require active owner participation and continuous practice in order to maintain proper efficiency and effectiveness. Practice makes perfect!
